Kate Schluter, Ed.M. is the founder and director of the Center for Transformational Healing. A lifelong spiritual seeker,
she offers a spirit-centered approach to teaching and counseling that supports self-discovery, personal growth and consciousness.
Having received her training in both traditional and nontraditional spheres, Kate is adept at blending solid psychological
principles with complementary mind/body techniques and offers a uniquely grounded approach to healing.
An experienced psychotherapist, certified clinical hypnotherapist, past-life regression therapist, shamanic healer and
mind/body practitioner, Kate received her master's degree from Harvard University and has studied with Brian Weiss, M.D. (Many
Lives, Many Masters), Doreen Virtue, Ph.D. (Divine Guidance) and Alberto Villoldo, Ph.D. (Shaman, Healer, Sage) and other
prominent teachers in the field of spiritual psychology and awareness. A graduate of The Four Winds Society's Healing the
Light Body School in Utah, Kate has traveled and studied with indigenous medicine men and women in the Sacred Valley and
Lake Titicaca, Peru. Most recently, Kate completed a clinic in Mind/Body Medicine at the Harvard Medical School led by Dr.
Herbert Benson, director of the Mind/Body Medical Institute and author of "The Relaxation Response."
Prior to opening her private practice, Kate spent ten years working in the public sector as director of Violence Prevention
Services for the Middlesex District Attorney's Office and as executive director of Project Alliance, an educational nonprofit
agency that forged alliances among public agencies serving youth, including justice, education, child services and healthcare.
In that sphere, she developed and implemented a number of educational programs for youth, including the Respectrum, a social-justice
curriculum advocating respect for diversity.
